During this time, our staff will be engaged in professional development activities. These sessions are essential for enhancing our instructional strategies and ensuring we provide the best educational experience for your children. See below for how we used the time in March! | | | Our district is committed to ensuring that professional development time directly supports high-quality teaching, student well-being, and school safety. Below is a clear summary of how educators used this time during the past month.
The protected professional development time on early release days provides essential time for educators to collaborate, analyze student learning, and plan high-quality instruction. This work directly supports student achievement and cannot be effectively completed during the regular school day.
During last week’s early release professional development time, staff focused on strengthening instructional practices and collaboration to better support student learning.
Work included analyzing student data to monitor progress, reviewing interventions, and planning differentiated reading instruction and small group teaching based on individual student needs.
Additional sessions focused on applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to create more inclusive and accessible lessons, developing behavior de-escalation strategies, preparing for upcoming parent–teacher conferences, and engaging in professional learning groups that support reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Professional development is a direct investment in students. Each of these activities helps educators strengthen instruction, enhance safety, and build supportive school environments where all students can thrive. | | | Last Day of School Due to storm days, the last day of the 2025-26 school year is now 6/24/26. This could change if further storm days are needed.
Also, please note that 6/17/26, which was scheduled to be the last student day if there were no storm days, will not be an early release as shown on the 2025-26 calendar. Rather, the last day of school will be an early release. Please see the updated calendar below. | | | | Beyond the Likes - Social Media, Mental Health & You
