
| | | | | | The budget season is well underway, and the Brunswick School Department represents a significant—and important—portion of the municipal budget as we work to provide a high-quality education for our 2,399 students. We encourage community members to stay informed and engaged by attending the remaining budget meetings, all held at 6:30 PM at Town Hall (85 Union Street). Please note that all meetings are subject to change.

The American Academy of Pediatrics Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health invites teens (ages 14-19) to participate in Beyond the Likes - Social Media, Mental Health & You, a free virtual youth forum on Saturday, April 18, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET.
This interactive event will empower young people to navigate the digital world with confidence, engage in meaningful conversations with peers and experts, and gain practical tools for managing their digital lives. Earn a Certificate of Completion and get a chance to win prizes!
Clubs and organizations whose members participate in the forum may be eligible for a small stipend; interested groups can contact Marija Hegel at mhegel@aap.org for more information.

Erika Mackin IEP Coordinator KFS & HBS
Erika grew up in Valatie, NY, and attended Ichabod Crane HS. She graduated from College of St. Rose (NY) for her undergraduate and University of Albany for her graduate. Erika's is married to her love, Dustin, a son, Sebastian. They have two dogs, Cooper and Suki as well as nine chickens.
What makes you proud to work in Brunswick? #BSDProud I love Brunswick! We love the culture, the people, and the welcoming spirit of the town. Anytime we have friends or family visit from out of town, we bring them to Brunswick.
What do you like to do outside of work for fun? I like to walk, hike, read books, and spend time with family. Oh, and HOCKEY!! Go Bruins and UMaine Black Bears!!

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet? My grandmother. She was a teacher and I would want to seek her wisdom!

What do you look forward to most in your retirement years? Spending time and traveling with my wife, Allyson.
