The School Referendum passed with overwhelming support, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in this important vote.
Your investment in our schools is an investment in our students, our future leaders, and the continued strength of this incredible community we call home. This outcome reflects the shared commitment of our residents to providing meaningful opportunities for current and future generations.
Thank you for believing in our students and for helping build a bright future for our town. Together, we are making a lasting difference. | | | REMINDER: Friday, June 19th is a non-school day to observe the Juneteenth holiday. | | | We want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Ethan Patterson, our incredible student school board liaison!
Ethan has been nothing short of exceptional these past two years! He did an outstanding job ensuring that the student voice wasn't just heard, but truly included and valued in School Board decisions. His dedication, insight, and leadership have left a lasting impact on our school community.
The Board Legacy Tradition
As is our proud tradition, we ask each outgoing school board member to choose a book to be placed in a BSD library in their honor.
Ethan has chosen Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson—a powerful testament to justice, empathy, and advocacy.

Parenting in the digital age can raise a lot of questions. Ever think to yourself: How much screen time is too much? When should my child get a phone? How can I as a parent help my child build healthy habits with technology?
If so, you may want to consider reading 10 Rules for Raising Kids in a High-Tech World written by Jean Twenge. As a psychologist and researcher in child development, technology and mental health, Dr. Twenge tackles the questions many parents are asking today. This book offers ten practical, evidence-based rules to help families navigate smartphones, social media and screen time.
