As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we honor the lives lost, celebrate the heroism of first responders and survivors, and reflect on how that day shaped our world. To help guide our students through this history, we're sharing resources designed to foster age-appropriate, thoughtful learning about the lasting impacts of 9/11 on civic life and national memory.

For three decades, the Brunswick High School field house has served as a central hub for our community, welcoming students, families, and local sports enthusiasts year-round. To ensure this well-loved facility can continue to safely and comfortably serve everyone for years to come, Brunswick High School is launching a local fundraising campaign to support vital infrastructure upgrades.

Key Renovation Priorities

The planned improvements focus on enhancing safety, comfort, and accessibility across the entire facility:

• ADA-Compliant Restrooms: Modernizing facilities to ensure full accessibility and comfort for all visitors.

• Updated Food Preparation Area: Upgrading concession infrastructure to better serve spectators and event participants.

• Long-Term Sustainability: Revitalizing core infrastructure so the field house remains a safe, inclusive space for student-athletes and community members alike.

Every contribution brings us closer to reaching our $100,000 goal. All donations are tax-exempt and will be formally acknowledged; every gift—regardless of size—directly impacts our local students and community members. A Community Flu & Covid Clinic is being held at Harriet Beecher Stowe School on Saturday, September 26th from 9am to 2pm.

• Bring your insurance information with you or fill out the forms ahead of time.
• Students UNDER 19 without insurance are eligible for free vaccinations.
• Paperwork is available on site or in school offices.

Do you plan on volunteering at school for your child or grandchild? Applications must be submitted every school year and if you apply early in the year, you'll be all set come May for the Field Days and Field Trips!

All potential volunteers must complete and submit an application through Volgistics. The link to Volgistics can be found on the Volunteer page of the BSD website. Applicants may select multiple volunteer locations in their application. Applicants should apply ten days before the event or activity for which they would like to volunteer.
