Dear Staff, Students, and Families,
As you may have heard, today, the Maine Principals’ Association, in partnership with other state agencies, announced that they have relaxed restrictions for counties that are designated YELLOW with regards to athletics. Individual school districts may now determine whether or not students are allowed to condition and practice in person and play interscholastic competition. This is a significant step towards enhancing the physical, mental, and socio-emotional well-being of our students.
Schools are the safest place for kids to participate in these activities. We will continue to follow all safety protocols as prescribed by the MPA, CDC, and our local health team.
Brunswick High School student-athletes will begin practices on January 22.
Information regarding practice times and groupings will be sent by coaches to parents and students.
Games and competitions cannot resume until 10 days from the restart of practices.
