Dear Brunswick Families:

Buying groceries over the summer just got easier for ⅓ of our families in Brunswick!

Families of students who qualify for free and reduced meals are eligible for Maine’s Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits. Those who qualify receive an EBT card preloaded with money that can be used to feed their children at home. Families typically receive $6.82 per child, per weekday, through the federally-funded program.

If your household income is at or below the limits on the chart below, you can qualify for the P-EBT benefit over the summer.

If you did not apply for free and reduced meals this year, you still have time to complete the application and qualify for the benefit for the months following your application approval. Please complete the application at http://brunswick.schoollunchapp.com. Paper applications are also available at each schools’ main office.  Once complete, your application will be processed to ensure a timely upload of your eligibility information to the state database. Upon completion, DHHS will access the school meal eligibility information and determine your EBT benefit amount and time frame

Please contact Melissa Mullison if you have any questions about the free and reduced application process. All inquiries related to the P-EBT benefit, including amounts, timelines and eligibility, should be directed to the Office of Family Independence.
