Dear Staff, Students, and Parents,
Please welcome Aaron Watson as our new Athletic Director at Brunswick High School. Aaron emerged from a highly qualified candidate pool, and I believe Aaron is a great fit for the High School and will serve our students, parents, faculty/staff, and community well.
Aaron is joining us from Noble High School of North Berwick, Maine, where he was the athletic administrator for 3 years. Aaron was previously an athletic administrator at Gray/New Gloucester. He has his Master of Education in Athletic Administration and obtained CAA (certified athletic administrator) status in 2019. In his 25 years in education, Aaron has been an administrator, a teacher, and a coach of various varsity sports.
Aaron is a former president of both the Cumberland County Conference Middle School Athletic League, the Southern Maine Middle School Athletic Conference, a Maine state delegate at the National Athletic Directors Conference, and has taught a leadership course at the MIAAA (Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association). He has been nominated for service awards in the MIAAA and is an active member in both the state and national associations.
Aaron enjoys all sports and leads an active lifestyle which includes golf and tennis. He is married with three children and resides in Yarmouth with two dogs and two cats. Summer weekends are often filled with camping trips and mountain climbing.
