12/30/21

Dear Brunswick Staff, Students, and Parents:

I hope you have had a restful winter break and that you are ready for a positive and productive 2022!

As we prepare to return to school, I want to remind staff or students who tested positive for COVID-19 during break to notify their school nurse. Those who tested positive before 12/25/21 may return to school. Those who tested positive on 12/25/21 or later should stay home. School nurses will contact those individuals on January 3 with more specific directions.

Also, as mentioned in the 12/30/21 Community Newsletter, the Maine CDC has revised the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on 12/30/21.  This document guides the district’s response to COVID-19.  The revision includes several updates with significant changes.  You can find the revised SOP here. Our medical team is in the process of reviewing this revised SOP and will share details as soon as possible.  Until then, all existing protocols will remain in place.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely
Phillip J. Potenziano, Ed.D.
