food drive

The TURKEY CHALLENGE TRADITION CONTINUES!

(albeit a bit differently.)

The SCG and Mrs. D’Agostino are working together to help the greater needs of the community this November.

LAST  year, the string beans, squash, mixed veggies and beet teams collected 897 lbs. Of food. It was donated to the Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention Program.

THIS YEAR, ALL of HBS will join in, collecting non-perishable food items as a cornucopia. (One BIG TEAM- Together, Everyone Achieves More, working together to help those in need.)

Let’s see how close we can get to 800 pounds of food, or more?!

The SCG and Mrs. D’Agostino realizes the needs of the community have changed significantly since COVID.  PLEASE, donate only if you can and in the future when you can, we know you will be there to help.

Nov 9 - 20th there will be carts at each entrance, Mon-Tues./Thurs./Fri. AND a cart in the foyer on Wednesdays for remote families to drop items off as you pick up learning materials.

The food items will be delivered to Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention where they weigh the donations. Let's see how close we can get to 800 pounds and have some fun while helping others. Thank you and stay well!
