Dear Brunswick School Community:

This message is regarding two health and safety-related topics.

1.  There will be a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for 5-11 year olds at Kate Furbish Elementary School on December 13 for those students who received their first shot on November 22.  These students have already been scheduled and do not need to complete additional forms.

Also, we are pleased to announce that KFS, HBS, and BJHS students ages 5-11 can get their first COVID-19 shot at this clinic.  If interested, please sign your child up for the 12/13 clinic at KFS by completing and returning the Registration, Consent, and CDC Pre Vaccination Checklist to their school by Friday, December 10.  (The Consent Form must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please skip question 1 on the CDC Pre Vaccination Checklist regarding how your child feels. If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home.)  Note that students receiving their first shot will have to schedule their second shot at a community clinic.

2.  We are changing our COVID-19 notification process slightly.  Participants in pooled testing who are in positive pools and who subsequently test negative using the BinaxNOW test will be notified by email and not by telephone.  (Please be sure to monitor your spam and junk folders in case emails from the district were directed there.)  Those participating in pooled testing and who test positive AND those not participating in pooled testing and who are designated close contacts will continue to be notified by telephone.

Please email your school nurse with any questions.
