Are you interested in joining any Outing Club activities this year? Come to our first meeting in room 221 (Ms. Marion's room) on Friday 9/15 to discuss ideas for trips this fall. See Mr. McCullough or Ms. Marion if you have questions or can't make it.
Attention Students--Are you interested in being matched with a Bowdoin College student? BHS students will meet their mentor at BHS right after school once a week for approximately an hour. Ask Mrs. Ring in the counseling office for more information. Students enrolled will receive community service hours needed for graduation.
11th graders and parents -
Brunswick High School is pleased to offer the PSAT/NMSQT to all interested 11th graders on October 19th at BHS during the school day. The PSAT is the practice version of the SAT exam. “P” in “PSAT” stands for “preliminary”. The PSAT is structured similarly to the SAT®, measuring the same Reading and Writing and Math skills students learn in the classroom. The PSAT offers students a chance to sharpen their skills in preparation for the actual SAT. While many four year colleges continue to remain test optional, students may choose to take the PSAT and later, the SAT.
The Digital PSAT/NMSQT is being launched this fall and 11th graders who register for the October 19th test will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the digital testing experience before taking a digital SAT. Students who register for the October 19th PSAT will receive further information about how to prepare for this testing format.
Taking the PSAT/NMSQT has its own set of benefits for students apart from just being a trial run for the SAT. The PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
******** 11th graders, if you wish to register for the October 19th PSAT, follow this link to access the google form and submit it no later than the September 19th deadline. The cost of the PSAT will be covered by a grant this year so no payment will be required. Please see Mrs. Moore in the Counseling Office if you have any questions.

"SOS GROUP!” Please join our group where you can be a peer leader creating activities for the school to help people discover their strengths and find healthy resources to deal with stress and suicide prevention. COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT may be earned, too!

Do you like answering trivia questions? Learning new things? Having tons of fun? Come join BHS QUIZ BOWL! We practice every Friday during Flex in Ms. Hopkins' room (236), and we'd love to have you there. No pressure to come every week, you can just stop by whenever works—hope to see you on Friday!
The Brunswick High School late bus service will begin on Monday, September 18. The bus will depart B.H.S. promptly at 3:45 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday when school is in session. To ride the late bus, students will need to secure a blue late bus pass from their teacher or the main office. For any questions regarding the late bus, please contact the Transportation Department at 319-1904.
Volunteers needed: Saturday, September 9th from 5-9 at Wild Oats/Flight Deck.
-Directing parking
-Monitoring the basketball station
-Helping in the kids zone (arts and crafts)
-Setting up and breaking down
-Monitoring entrances to make sure alcohol does not leave the designated areas
