Apply to be a part of Maine Maritime Museum's Green Teens Internship. Each Spring, six high school students are selected to work alongside museum professional and community leaders to raise awareness on a local environmental issue. Learn professional skills in project and time management, collaboration, and creative problem solving.

Get Your Sweatpants!  BHS Class of 2026 is now selling sweatpants! That’s right, they are selling one pair of high quality gray sweatpants with a “B” logo for only $32! Check your emails, Class of 2026 instagram, or the flyers posted around the school for a form. All forms must be filled out Friday, January 19. Support your class and buy these magnificent sweatpants!PLEASE NOTE! The new Bell Schedule that was sent out today will go into effect on JANUARY 22nd (the beginning of the third quarter/ second semester)FREE YOGA CLASS Jan. 17th at 10:00!  Did you know we have a NEW yoga studio at BHS?! Do you have a study hall during period 2 Orange?  If so, on Jan 17th at 10:00 during midterms, you can do a FREE yoga class.  Sign up outside Ms. Kunhardt and Ms. Vogel's room!

Do you love the library? The Curtis Library is looking for some students to assist in fun projects on our Teen Advisory Committee. Not only do you get to give back to your community and have fun, you earn volunteer hours too!

Example projects:

Sort and test board games. Research new board games and give recommendations for purchase.

Review books and write about them. Check Booktok, Goodreads, and other social media platforms for popular books and report back to the teen librarian.

Create social media content for Curtis teens (book trailers, Instagram posts, etc.).

Share your skills with the community and teach a class to younger kids or adults with the teen librarian.

Brainstorm fun ideas for crafts, projects, movies, etc. to offer at the library.

Brunswick City Limits Auditions!  We’re back, and better than ever!  Auditions for soloists will be Thurs., Feb. 1st and Fri., Feb. 2nd in room 101 after school.  If you cannot make those dates, please see Mr. Porter AHEAD OF TIME to make other arrangements.  If you want to be in the on-stage chorus, please see Mr. Porter for details.  Show dates are April 5th and 6th, 2024.  This is a fundraiser for the BASAF, the Brunswick Area Student Fund.

CLUB MEETINGS

ATHLETICS NEWS

Brunswick Girls' Fast start seals win against Edward Little Co-op!  Seven first-period goals propelled the Brunswick Girls Hockey Team to an 11-3 win over the visiting EL co-op Thursday night at Bowdoin College's Watson Arena.

Senior Captain Celeste Braillard led the way with a hat trick and an assist.

13 different players scored at least one point for the Dragons. 

Lisi Palmer had two goals and a helper, Gillian Countway also added a brace, while Loring Boak, Allie Tatham, Quinn McCormack, and Solveig Ledwick rounded out the goal-scoring.  Tannar Gagnon notched three assists in the win

The Dragons are now 6-4 and travel to play at St. Dominic Academy on Tuesday afternoon. 

Attention Senior Student Athletes  The Brunswick High School Athletic Department will soon host a Signing Day for students who have committed to play their sport for their chosen college. This is an optional event.

CLASS NOTES

Seniors! Get excited! It’s time to purchase your cap and gown!  We are going to start accepting cap, gown and tassel payments. The cost is $28 for 1 or $56 for 2.  If you have a student that only needs their 2024 tassel, the cost is $12. The payment deadline will be March 1, 2024.

Please note, tassel payment can only be accepted in cash or check.
