Once a month, on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, there is a drop in Teen Volunteer Club at the Curtis Memorial Library. It is from 3:30-4:30 or a little later if needed. They work on fun and creative projects for the children's department. They are currently working on creating I-Spy displays. This is informal, and there is no sign-up required.

MaineHealth is hosting a Radiology Open House on Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Scarborough. Students and families will have the opportunity to learn about the many career pathways within Radiology, meet current MaineHealth care team members, and connect with local colleges that offer Radiology-related educational programs. Refreshments will be provided.
Career representatives will be available from specialties including Ultrasound (Sonography), CT, X-Ray, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Interventional Radiology, Medical Physics, and Radiology. Representatives from educational partners including Kennebec Valley Community College, Southern Maine Community College, NHTI, Maine College of Health Professions, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will also be present.

We are currently looking for students to support our after-school programs at school sites in Bath (Fisher Mitchell) and Brunswick (Kate Furbish). This opportunity is a great fit for high school students who enjoy working with children, spending time outdoors, getting creative, and building experience in education, recreation, or youth development.
Position Details:
Monday–Friday, 2:45/3:00–5:30 PM
Additional hours are available during school vacations and school days off
Great hands-on experience working with children in a fun, supportive environment
Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 Academic Session of Inside Medicine, a free virtual career exploration program for Maine high school students (Classes of 2027-2030). Hosted by MaineHealth and Tufts University medical students, the program gives high schoolers the opportunity to explore careers in medicine, connect with health care professionals, and participate in interactive medical mystery cases.
